These Terms and Conditions explain the basis on which Wood Monkey CNC provides its website, products, services, quotations, custom designs, CNC machining, fabrication, furniture, cabinetry, campervan interiors, wall art, storage solutions, panels, signs and other bespoke woodwork services.

By using this website, contacting us, requesting a quotation, placing an order, accepting a design, paying a deposit, or instructing us to begin work, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Wood Monkey CNC

Wood Monkey CNC is a CNC woodworking and custom fabrication business based in North Wales. We create bespoke and made-to-measure wooden products, including furniture, cabinets, kitchen doors, campervan interiors, media walls, storage units, decorative wall panels, signage, artwork and other CNC-cut projects.

Our website includes information about our services, previous work, blog content, gallery images, contact details, newsletter subscription options and social media links. The website lists the contact telephone number as 01766 607007, the email address as woodmonkeycnc@gmail.com, and the business address as Wood Monkey CNC, Madoc Street West, Cae Pawb, LL49 9DU.

2. Use of this website

You may use this website for lawful personal or business purposes only. You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its security, copy content without permission, upload harmful material, submit false information, or use the website in a way that may damage Wood Monkey CNC or any third party.

We aim to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all information, images, descriptions, prices, availability, blog content or service details will always be complete, current or error-free.

We may update, change, suspend or remove any part of the website at any time.

3. Quotations and estimates

Any quotation or estimate provided by Wood Monkey CNC is based on the information available at the time. This may include your measurements, design brief, material preferences, drawings, photographs, site conditions, access information, finishes, delivery location, installation requirements and any other details you provide.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, quotations are not fixed indefinitely. Material prices, supplier costs, delivery charges and project requirements may change. We reserve the right to update a quotation if the project changes, if new information becomes available, if materials increase in price, or if the original quotation has expired.

A quotation does not become a confirmed order until we have accepted the project and any required deposit or payment has been received.

4. Bespoke and custom-made products

Many of our products are bespoke, custom-made or made to your specific measurements, design choices, material selections, finishes, colour preferences, layout requirements or intended use.

Because bespoke items are made specifically for you, it is your responsibility to ensure that all measurements, design details, specifications, drawings, templates, access details and instructions you provide are accurate before we begin work.

Once a bespoke or custom-made order has been accepted and work has started, changes may not always be possible. Where changes are possible, they may result in additional costs, delays, material waste, redesign work or revised completion times.

5. Measurements, site access and customer-provided information

Where you provide measurements, drawings, templates, sketches, photographs or project information, we will rely on that information when preparing your quote, design or finished product.

If measurements or information supplied by you are incorrect, incomplete or unclear, Wood Monkey CNC will not be responsible for any resulting errors, remake costs, fitting issues, delays or additional charges.

Where a site visit, measuring service, consultation or installation is agreed, you must ensure that safe and reasonable access is available, the area is clear where necessary, and any relevant information about the site is disclosed in advance.

6. Design approval

For custom projects, we may provide sketches, digital designs, design discussions, drawings, layout ideas, samples, images or specifications before production begins.

You are responsible for checking and approving the design, measurements, materials, colours, finishes, layout and specification before production starts. Once approval is given, we may proceed with ordering materials, cutting, fabrication, finishing or assembly.

If you later request changes after approval, we may charge for additional design time, materials, labour, waste, re-cutting, re-finishing or delays.

7. Natural materials and finishes

Wood, bamboo, veneer, MDF, plywood and other materials may have natural variations in grain, colour, texture, knots, markings, pattern, density and finish. These variations are part of the character of the material and are not normally considered faults.

Finishes, colours, oils, stains, paints, sprayed finishes and samples may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, screen settings, batch differences, material absorption and natural surface variation.

We will take reasonable care to produce a high-quality finish, but exact colour, grain or texture matching cannot always be guaranteed.

8. Deposits and payment

For bespoke work, we may require a deposit or staged payment before ordering materials, preparing designs, booking production time, beginning fabrication, or arranging installation.

The amount and timing of payment will be confirmed as part of your quotation or order agreement.

Unless agreed otherwise, final payment must be made before delivery, collection, installation, or release of completed goods. We may withhold delivery, installation or release of goods until payment has been received in full.

Late payment may result in delays, additional charges, cancelled installation dates, or recovery action where appropriate.

9. Cancellations

For standard services or non-bespoke products, cancellation rights may depend on the nature of the order and whether work has started.

For bespoke, made-to-measure or personalised products, cancellation may not be possible once materials have been ordered, design work has been completed, production has started, or the item has been made to your specification.

If you cancel a bespoke order after work has started, you may still be responsible for design time, labour, materials, supplier costs, waste, administration, and any work already completed.

10. Delivery, collection and installation

Delivery, collection or installation arrangements will be agreed separately where applicable.

Any timescales provided are estimates unless expressly confirmed in writing as guaranteed. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timescales, but we are not responsible for delays caused by supplier issues, material shortages, transport problems, access restrictions, illness, weather, customer delays, design changes, incorrect information, or events beyond our reasonable control.

If installation is included, you must ensure that the site is ready, safe, accessible and suitable for installation. Additional charges may apply if we arrive and cannot complete the work due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, missing information, unprepared areas, or other issues outside our control.

11. Customer responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, clear instructions, correct measurements, safe access, timely communication, and prompt payment.

You are responsible for checking that any product, design, material, finish or installation is suitable for your intended use. This includes making sure that the item is appropriate for the space, environment, weight, load, moisture level, heat exposure, vehicle use, building condition or other relevant purpose.

Where items are used in vehicles, campervans, commercial spaces, kitchens, bathrooms or other specialist environments, you must tell us about any specific requirements before the order is confirmed.

12. Care and maintenance

Wooden and CNC-made products should be cared for properly. Exposure to excessive moisture, heat, direct sunlight, heavy impact, poor ventilation, unsuitable cleaning products, misuse, incorrect installation by others, or lack of maintenance may cause damage.

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, incorrect cleaning, excessive humidity, water exposure, impact, modification, unsuitable environment, or improper care after delivery or installation.

13. Faults, damage and complaints

You should inspect any goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery, collection or installation.

If you believe there is a fault, defect or issue with the work, you must contact us as soon as possible with clear details, photographs where relevant, and your order information.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, may offer repair, replacement, adjustment or another suitable remedy. We reserve the right to inspect the item before agreeing to any remedy.

We are not responsible for faults caused by incorrect measurements supplied by the customer, customer-approved designs, misuse, accidental damage, poor maintenance, third-party installation, alterations by others, or normal natural movement and variation in wood-based materials.

14. Returns and refunds

Because many of our products are bespoke, personalised or made to measure, they may not be eligible for return simply because you change your mind.

This does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill.

Where a refund is agreed, the amount may take into account work already completed, materials used, design time, delivery costs, installation costs and any bespoke nature of the item.

15. Images, portfolio and project photography

We may photograph or record completed work, work in progress, workshop processes, products, installations or project outcomes for our portfolio, website, social media, marketing, blog posts, case studies or promotional content.

Where the project is at your private home or includes personally identifying details, we will take reasonable care not to disclose sensitive personal information without permission.

If you do not want your project photographed or featured, please tell us in writing before work begins. The website already includes portfolio-style content and examples of custom projects, including CNC furniture, campervan builds, cabinetry, wall panels and other made-to-measure woodwork.

16. Intellectual property

All website content, text, photographs, designs, graphics, branding, logos, layout, blog content and project images belong to Wood Monkey CNC or the relevant rights holder unless stated otherwise.

You must not copy, reproduce, edit, distribute, publish, upload, sell, use commercially or claim ownership of any content from this website without written permission.

Any designs, drawings, concepts, templates, CNC files, plans or creative work produced by Wood Monkey CNC remain our intellectual property unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

17. Third-party links and social media

Our website may include links to third-party websites, social media platforms, suppliers, partners or external content. These links are provided for convenience only.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, terms, security or availability of third-party websites or platforms.

18. Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or updates, we may send you news, updates, project information, offers, blog content or marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.

The website includes a newsletter subscription option within the contact section.

19. Limitation of liability

Wood Monkey CNC will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

However, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, delays caused by matters outside our control, or problems caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights you have under consumer protection law.

20. Events outside our control

We will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include supplier delays, material shortages, transport disruption, illness, severe weather, workshop issues, equipment failure, power cuts, fire, flood, accidents, industrial action, changes in law, or other unexpected circumstances.

Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to communicate with you and resume work as soon as reasonably possible.

21. Privacy and personal information

We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights under data protection law.

You should read our Privacy Policy alongside these Terms and Conditions.

22. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute relating to these Terms and Conditions, our website, products, services, quotations or work will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, unless another legal requirement applies.

23. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, website, services, products, legal obligations or working practices.

The latest version will apply from the date it is published on our website.
